(I don't mind having a big keychain, though so some day I might change my mind)įor the game itself, some complained (on Steam review) that it wasn't the faithful remaster. Although it's best to keep in the package as in another review posted here. Gearbox seems to respond to this by releasing another edition in that format for sale at 60USD. The art book is well-made but, as in many other reviews, it should come in a coffee table format.

#HOMEWORLD REMASTERED COLLECTION METACRITIC CODE#
The download code is for the same version of the game available for direct purchase from Steam (so, yeah, amazon tags the title incorrectly as the game needs to be downloaded from Steam) It should've included the soundtrack considering the price paid for this collector's edition package. My copy does light up great (which is good since I live in South East Asia and will have problems in returning it back to UK in that case) It wouldn't be so stable on the stand if it were heavy. To me, the mothership model made out of hollow plastic is well thought-out, despite some reviews on (not .uk) that it caused the model feel cheap. To sum up, the Collector's Edition is expensive and cool - I really like it - but it's not fully worth the price of the converted 150€ I paid when it came out. You'll not only get the MP3s, but also the FLAC files that sound great for example on a PonoPlayer. A big thumbs up for the soundtrack, that was not included in the package first, but came with an email steam code later on. I didn't use the key ring yet, but it certainly looks nice. The artwork booklet could have been printed on a bigger format, maybe even hardcover for the price. The box does not contain a CD, but the code for the steam download key.

The mothership statue is gorgeous, although I thought lighting would be more flashy. This starts with the package design that I simply adore for its simplicity and style. The two games now look better than ever before, and down to tiny details one can see the effort that went into recreating the whole experience.
